Mazda Motor Corp. has an itsy-bitsy problem, and it can be recalling 65,000 cars to fix it.

Mazda identified the culprit as the yellow sac spider, or Cheiracanthium inclusum. The pale, mildly venomous creatures lay their eggs in silk-wrapped bunches — usually in vegetation.Spider nests in very small rubber hoses connected to fuel tank techniques could result in pressurization and ventilation issues in certain cars.

Right after sellers round the region observed 20 situations from the arachnid infestation, the company pulled back again 65,000 Mazda6 cars from the 2009 and 2010 design years from the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

To fix the issue, dealers will examine and clean the canister vent line in the recalled autos. A spring is going to be set up to stop this spider from entering the line.

The recall notices will go out later on this month. Owners of Mazda6s can get in touch with the company right at 1-800-222-5500.
